Why Do All the Planets Look Different?

The planets look different because each planet is formed from different materials, although they are all planets that revolve around the sun and are part of the solar system.

Indeed, we know only a little about the formation of the planets. This question is still one of the questions that man hopes to know the answer to, by following the space discoveries carried out by those who plan for the future.

Let us now take a brief and simple look at the formation of the known planets.

Mercury: It is a small rocky world. It has dark areas and several volcanic craters on its surface, but it has no atmosphere or water of any kind.

Venus: It forms a misty white sphere, and it is covered with a layer of white clouds made of sulfuric acid formed directly beneath its clouds, and not of water vapor.

As for the atmosphere of Venus, it is made up of a large amount of carbon dioxide gas, which cannot be breathed. It traps the heat of the sun like a cover, so the temperature on its surface reaches 500°, and rarely do we find any water on the planet Venus.

Mars: It is known as the red planet because of the color of its deserts. Its size is half the size of Earth, and it has an atmosphere made of carbon dioxide, from which clouds are formed. Until now, there is no clear evidence of life on the surface of Mars, perhaps because it is very cold.

Jupiter: It is a round planet like a yellowish ball, and it has colored bands revolving around it, which are made of clouds. As for its red spot, it is clearly visible in the clouds.

This huge sphere is made of liquid, most of which is hydrogen and helium, and it becomes denser the closer we move toward the center of the planet, that is, in its middle.

Saturn: A planet made of liquid hydrogen, and around it revolves a group of glittering rings. They are made of small particles that look like very small moons, all moving in orbits around it.

Uranus: It is a distant planet, and it has rings revolving around it, but they appear darker than those revolving around Saturn.

Neptune: A dark green planet.

Pluto: It is the smallest planet in the solar system, to the degree that it is smaller than our moon. Its orbit is eccentric, which makes it closer to the sun than the planet Neptune.

The space discoveries that are made by means of satellites have helped scientists learn more about the other planets in the solar system.
